Ellen McCaleb:
The Art of Fish Sculpture
An Interview
Photographs supplied by Ellen McCaleb
Leaving a career in corporate America to pursue
a less-hurried lifestyle, Ellen McCaleb is resurrecting
the art of trophy fish carving in the tradition of
England's John Russell, P.D. Malloch and John
Tully. Working out of a barn that is adjacent to
her 1889 farmhouse in the rural town of Center
Stafford, New Hampshire, Ellen shows her
versatility in fish sculpting and reminisces about
the various carvings she has produced, her
artistic techniques, and her love of angling.
