The Joys of a Floating Line Steve Nelson

The Deschutes River valley is a wonderful, unique place. At night, the lights of unheard and unseen trains illuminate the walls of the desert canyon. Along the river you can see herons, kingfishers, and osprey looking for a meal. You can also see mule deer feeding alongside of the valley's steep hills. Along with the amenities of the Deschutes, one also has the opportunity to fish one of the best steelhead rivers in North America.
